A Resurrection Hymn
Risen Christ, your glory lifts us

from the pain of cross and grave.

Through the darkness shines your presence,

triumph of the life you gave.

Blessed Jesus, reign forever,

o'er the world you came to save.
Ever near, your shining beauty,

in the holy bread and wine.

Every Eucharistic banquet

brings anew your love divine.

Blessed Lord, be ever with us;

may your love forever shine.
Silently, your heart enfolds us

as we offer you our prayer:-

Over all this land, Australia,

spread your wondrous, loving care.

Omnipresent risen Saviour,

bless your children everywhere.
Over mountains, hills and valleys;

to the gleaming ocean's shore,

may your gracious Holy Spirit

rest, remain, for evermore.

Through this land, beloved country,

heal, and nurture, and restore.
Here we stand within your presence

as, with joy, our voices raise,

singing of your loving kindness;

grateful hymns of love and praise.

Shine upon us; shine around us,

on this special day of days.

Communion Hymn (1) - O Loving Lord
O loving Lord, our light and life
by whom our souls are fed,
renew in us your holy fire,
in sacred wine and bread.

Enfold us in your loving care,
and guard us by your grace.
Be near us in our daily lives,
at every time and place.                      ©2000  Pat Haigh

Communion Hymn (2) - O Blessed Lord
O blessed Lord whom we adore
so fill us with your grace
that through this Eucharistic feast,
we meet you face to face.

Renew in us your fire divine.
Inflame in us your love,
that we might grow in you each day,
with strength from heaven above.

Communion Hymn (3) - We Have Touched the Edge of Glory
We have touched the edge of glory,
and have met him face to face.
We have walked the path of pilgrims
in this sacred, holy place.

We have known the Father’s splendour
in the mystic bread and wine.
We continue on our journey,
spirit-filled by grace divine.

Deepest peace of God go with us;
may his presence light our way,
as we seek the path of glory;
dwell in him from day to day.
