Carol for the Christ Child
Lord Jesus, you came in the still of the night,
as stars shone like diamonds, all blazing and bright.
In stable so lowly, you came as a child,
so tiny, so tender, to sweet Mary mild. Most shining, most holy, in beauty you lay,
the ‘Light of the world’ in a manger of hay,
as angels and shepherds around you did stand,
as angels so priceless, decreed by God’s hand. Our Saviour, Christ Jesus, so small and so dear,
the sheep and the cattle in wonder drew near,
and choirs of heaven sang all through the night,
proclaiming this wonder of goodness and light. And still at each Christmas, we ponder your birth;
on mountains; in valleys; and o’er all the earth.
God’s greatest of presents, sent down from above,
to tell of his goodness; how great is his love.

The
Tiny King - A Christmas Carol
God who made the shining ocean;
God who made the stars so bright,
sent His greatest gift from heaven,
Jesus, born a tiny child.
God was flesh in stable lowly,
born of Mary, sweet and mild,
Christ our Saviour came among us,
Jesus, born a Holy child.
Greatest gift from God the
Father,
miracle of love for all,
Christ was born of Mary, gentle,
tiny King in humble stall.
Brightest angels shone around
Him,
lighting up the stable bare.
Cattle gazed in awe and wonder
at the baby, sleeping there.
Let us now, in stable humble,
at this joyful Christmas-tide
gather round to worship Jesus,
born of Mary, virgin mild.
